There was a brilliant turnout and a great fun atmosphere at our annual Harvest Home Auction at the Nags Head on Sunday.
Auctioneer Simon Flux worked the audience into a bidding frenzy, bringing the hammer down on over 80 lots which raised £1,182 for the town's Christmas lights.
Items up for grabs included hampers, cakes, wine, local produce, meals at local pubs plus tickets to watch Exeter Chiefs and Somerset Cricket. A canvas print donated by photographer Richard Austin fetched £75.
The Christmas Lights Committee would like to thank everyone who attended and to those who donated prizes, helping us raise a fantastic total.
Special thanks to landlords James and Rebecca for hosting the event and to Simon Flux for acting as a brilliant auctioneer, ably assisted by James.
