The aim of Lyme Regis Christmas Lights Committee is to ensure the town has an impressive Christmas lights display this year and in future years.
We have a dedicated community team who meet regularly throughout the year to plan the annual display and organise fundraising events.
The annual cost each year for the lights is around £12,000, we receive an absolutely vital grant from Lyme Regis Town Council but the majority of the monies is met by local fundraising.
In previous years the committee has raised funds to pay a contractor for the hire and erection of the lighting displays across the street, while the lit trees adorning the buildings in Broad Street have been erected by members of the committee. Since 2019 the committee have purchased and erecting our own sets of lights to help secure a bright future for the town's festive display.
